Overview
Christmas is supposed to be about the good news, yet for Angela this Christmas season has been nothing but bad news followed by more bad news. Angela is the owner of Dave’s Diner, a greasy diner in Hope Hull, Alabama; still named for her late husband. With the exception of a few regulars, her diner is empty most nights. She only keeps it open because she knows her quirky regulars are just as lonely as she is and without the diner, they would all be lost. Sadly, the continuous stream of bad news on TV and radio combined with her economic hardships and loneliness are getting the best of her. She resolves that this Christmas Eve is her last before she closes the diner for good. But a strange turn of events, bringing lots of new faces into the diner who need help for the holidays, reminds her of the true meaning of Christmas.
